Thanks to our friend, Anna Bigelow for taking our pictures so we have them to blog (and I am even in a few) because I didn't even bring our camera. Spring Break we usually spend at Red Cliffs with our family camping for most of the week! We wanted to go camping here in Texas especially since camping season is almost over here!! A friend asked some people from our church if their property was available, they were using it until Thursday so we were excited to go. My family loves camping. I love it when we get there, since it seems like so much work to get there! Up until Wednesday night we thought we were going to be the only ones going. But 4 families ended up coming out for some of the time with us. It was nice that it was so close to home (only about 30 minutes). We had a great time fishing, snacking, canoeing, eating, playing, rocket ballooning, eating, reading, and relaxing. It was great weather until Saturday which we knew was going to rain. But we still had a great day. We just had to hurry and get cleaned up a bit quicker. We are hoping to do it again soon!
This is Joel laying on a 'sand dune' here in Texas, it is clay dirt and you can see about half of it in the picture. I wasn't that impressed by it since it was so tiny and CLAY, not quite the same as the sand dunes I am used to. But the kids had fun!
The first of the week we had some sewing projects
Totebag
Doll dress
mixed in with lunch at different parks with friends, beautiful weather, homemade root beer and scones, staying up late playing night games, all three girls noses stuck in their Harry Potter books, a fun night at the Todd's riding their motorboat around Woodlake, and going to see The LEGO Movie in 3D. We had a great week, bring on summer, minus the wet heat!
