Luke also did a little soccer league which he loved! Especially after every practice they would get a patch to iron on his shirt. His face was so red after, he is so fun to watch run around. It is different having a boy, he is much more aggressive (which isn't hard! For example, in Brooklyn's basketball games her coach started telling Brooklyn that she need to get at least one foul in the game. It helped a little, but for some reason she has no problem being aggressive at home! :) He just seems to have an inner instinct on how to be in the right spot! It was fun! We also registered him for Kindergarten. I will miss having him home, but I am so glad that I kept him home a year longer. He has a late August birthday so he could have started this year. It will be the first time in 8 years that I will only have 2 kids at home during the day, so that will be weird!
Brooklyn needed to make a car out of a box. And she ended up making Mater. She did a great job and her teacher even wanted to keep it to show for next year. Mason and Luke had fun playing with it before she took it to school.
Orchestra concerts are always fun! But trying to get a decent picture of these two was much harder than it should have been! Brooklyn will be in 7th grade next year, so at her school she had to decide if she wanted to do Orchestra or athletics. They do let you do both but frown upon it and you have to take summer school, and a few other things that we didn't make happen. So sadly she is not going to be playing the cello anymore at school and private lessons I am sure are pricey. I have mixed emotions on this!!
Brooklyn also was on the honor roll and was part of a Math Olympiad at school. As well as getting an award in PE for completing so many requirements and running the mile in a certain time. Way to go.
Also on Mother's day 30 minutes before church I was doing Megan's hair and noticed she had lice REALLY BAD!!!!!!!! ICK! That stuff is so nasty! So Joel volunteered to stay home with her and started combing through it. We luckily checked everyone else and they didn't have it, but it took a few weeks to get rid of it and A LOT of washing sheets, blankets pillows, stuffed animals. Not a good mother's day present at all. She was very patient as we combed through her hair multiple times for the next few days!!!
Jessica is helping dad get our garden set up ready to go.
Here is Luke all covered up thanks to Jessica emptying out the entire towel drawer from the kitchen!
