Some friends from our ward invited us to a crawfish boil over memorial day weekend. You have to cook them alive so they taste better. For a few weeks in May/June, if you get to the store soon enough you can buy them in bulk. So here are the kids playing with them while they are alive.
Here is the finished product, looks kind of pretty doesn't it. They boil them with all sorts of spices and also red potatoes and corn on the cob, or whatever you want. Brooklyn was the only one of our kids that would even try it! She doesn't look so sure about it, but decided that they weren't so bad, and had a few more. Everything was pretty spicy, while I was eating my corn on the cob my lips were burning, but it was pretty tasty! It was fun to hang out and enjoy a Crawfish boil!
We had a great time and enjoyed great company! The kids enjoyed hot dogs and cupcakes. Isn't that a cute picture of Mason and Jessica?!
I did try one but have a really hard time eating something if I have to break it's back to get to the meat AND if it is still looking at me!!!
