College Station, TX ready or not here we come!!

 Friday night was our last night in St. George, we stayed over at Grandma and Grumpa B's house and Adam's family came to play.  I didn't sleep much that night and we woke up @ 4:30 so we could be on the road by 5.  I drove for the first half while everyone slept.  I had no problem staying awake, I was filled with emotions (anger, sadness, scared, worried, you get the idea).

They both had the cutest smiles and then last second this happens...little stinker!

 We made it to Jill and Ben's in Silver City, NM Saturday afternoon (which was 10 hours into our 23 hour journey) and we were in shock at how well our kids did, especially Jessica, it was truly an answer to many prayers that she did so well.  She would normally scream when we drove across town.  We also had some great friends and neighbors give us some baskets of goodies and games to entertain our kids, and I also made some surprise bags of random things to open up as we went along (stickers, bubble gum, little toys, special snacks they never get) they loved it.
We stayed at the Cluff's place until early Monday and hit the road again early.  They were much better host/hostess to us than we were to Jill last time she stayed with us.  We had a great time with them and were spoiled rotten (Ben even gave us some of his homemade jerky for the road)!  It was a great, relaxing stopping point in our travels.  Just what we needed!!  THANKS, Cluff's!!

This was a much easier option of getting our van out rather than finding a loading dock, we also got our piano out this way!

 We hit the Texas border early Monday morning, which meant we were about half way!!! We stayed over in Fredricksburg, TX on Monday.  They had a fun pool at the motel we stayed at and had pizza for dinner.  Our kids did amazing again.  I still hadn't even had to get into my emergency sucker stash for Jessica!  But the longer we drove the sadder I got thinking how much farther we kept getting from home!  Tuesday we got up and drove the last 3 hours to College Station, TX.  We met our realtor with the keys at our new house.  It was pretty dirty, so our realtor had a cleaning crew there within 30 minutes and they got it in much better shape before the diesel arrived.

We had a neighbor and son come welcome us to the neighborhood within a short time and offered to help us, this was before the trailer showed up!  He was a trooper and helped get a lot of the big stuff out in the heat of the day!  A co-worker of Joel's also showed up to help for a few hours and then his family brought us dinner Wednesday night.  Also the diesel driver was amazing and was in the trailer most of the day bringing the stuff down to us so we could take it in.  Our new ward was planning on showing up @ 6 to help but by then we had almost everything unloaded except a few big things in the front.  There was probably 10-15 guys that showed up thinking they were going to have to empty the whole trailer so they seemed a bit disappointed that they didn't have to do much! NOT.  It was nice to finally have all of the traveling and unloading over with!  Wednesday we took the girls to get them registered for school that started the next Monday.  Can I just say I hate HUMIDITY?!?!?
