Baker Babes visit for the Jr. Olympics Cross Country race

We surprised the girls Monday morning that Martha, Addi, Alli and Adri were coming to visit us on Thursday and then they were going to go watch them run at their race in San Antonio that Saturday.  They were SO excited when they found out they were really coming that weekend.
Also last week we had to take Brooklyn to instacare three days after our insurance was in effect.  In PE that day she fell, landed on her wrist it was hurting her pretty bad so we went and got some xrays.  She had a hair line fracture so they gave her a splint to wear for the next few weeks to protect it.  That was one expensive splint, our insurance is horrible!  Anyway she had her last 4 basketball games that she had to sit and watch from the bench,not fun for her.

Here we are at SeaWorld San Antonio for the opening ceremonies for the Jr. Olympic Cross Country races Friday night.  We were also able to see this 5 day old baby orca swim next to her mother.  We were hoping to see a show with the whales or something more what you see when you come for the day but they said this was something special that they don't normally do.  We were kind of disappointed. After we all crashed at Martha's sister Ida's house for the night.

Their coach Burke Staheli gave them a pep talk after the ceremony on Friday and reminded them that we aren't in St. George and if it says 15 minutes to get somewhere you will need more time than that so leave plenty early just to be sure.  He was right the traffic was horrible!!  They didn't have anyone helping direct traffic to help get all these people it was bumper to bumper coming in and out of the place til you got to the freeway which was less than two miles away.  We left 45 minutes before Adri was going to race and we still ended up missing Adri.  Sorry Adri!  It took us almost 2 hours to get back to the freeway when we left.

Courtney and Adri had fun collecting rocks while they waited for the next race to start.  It was a bit chilly with the wind blowing but we all survived.

They all did a great job.  We were so glad that they made the effort to come see us especially since it was out of their way to come here.  We had such a fun time hanging out with them.  While Martha was here Jessica wanted nothing to do with me, she wanted Martha.
